Full Description

Presence of brick kiln in this field suggested by name given in 1839 tithe apportionment 'Brick Kiln field' (S1). A brick kiln is known to have operated in Stradishall from 1865-8 under William Lee and from 1869-75 under James Lee, but the location of the site is unknown (S2).
