Full Description

Evaluation of five trenches identified an area of fairly intensive activity. This includes a ring ditch corresponding with SNH 005 associated with a Bronze Age barrow, ditches associated with cropmarks of field systems and trackways likely to date to the late prehistoric/Roman period, a ditch likely to be associated with a medieval/post-medieval rabbit warren, and a number of undated pits (S1).
