Full Description

2005: An aerial photographic assessment of the site identified parallel banks remaining from the headlands that were part of a wider medieval open field system. The documentary survey of the site identified these features as sheep walks. Two ridgelines running east to west were identified during fieldwalking on the site. The ridgelines appear to be the remains of the, now largely ploughed out, sheep walks that were identified in both the aerial photographic and documentary surveys (S1)(S2).

(Similar headland identified on aerial photographs to the north MNL1168)
