Full Description
2016: Evaluation revealed a large pond which contained ceramic building material, glass, white earthenwares in the deposits. The 1st edition OS map shows several ponds in association with Chapel Farm which could potentially be medieval fish ponds relating to the former chapel. A crushed chalk layer was also identified which probably formed a yard surface for the farmyard, digging 4 test pits through the layer yielded 4 sherds of c13th-15th century pottery (S1).
