Full Description

A late 17th/early 18th century, single-storey timber-framed building with an attic. The cottage had a two cell layout with back-to-back central fireplaces and a baffle entry. A first floor was inserted in the 19th century and the original gabled and thatched roof was replaced. The cottage has two 19th century staircases which suggest that it was in dual occupancy at this time. After the removal of some of the 19th century alterations the building fell into a bad state of repair and the rest of the additions were demolished (S1).
