Full Description

The landowner referred to the pond as Hemp Pond in conversation. It measures c.24m by 4.5m and is rectangular and rectilinear. The pond is shown in the 1st edition Ordnance survey and shows three narrow channels running north from it. These features do not seem to be directly associated with any dwelling and may be associated with the cultivation of hemp (S1) (S2).
