Full Description

Round Barrow.
1935: Large bowl covered with conifers. No visible ditch. (Mention of a photograph) (R1).
1962: Bowl barrow in fair condition, having diameter of 22m and a height of 1.2m. Mound is bramble and bracken covered and has a group of trees growing upon it (S3).
1977: On heathland on edge of airfield, circa 21m diameter and 0.93m high. Covered with trees and brambles (S1).
1985: In good condition, with smooth profile, possibly slightly dug away on E. Still 1m high. Mature pine, sycamore and beech growing on mound, plus many saplings and brambles. Some dumped rubbish. In narrow strip of heathy woodland (max 20m E-W) between housing to W and newly built Suffolk Constabulary HQ to E (S2).
