Full Description

17th cenury pottery found at a depth of 25 feet in flint-lined well, 4'3" in diameter - Base of chafing dish, Saintonge, combining alternate heads & full length figures. Brown-glazed pottery including one piece with slip decoration. One fragment of dish with slip and sgraffito decoration (?German). Base of posset cup. Fragments of stoneware. Given by Messrs J. Gerrard 7 Sons Ltd., 160 Hadleigh Road, Ipswich, through W. Smith, Esq, Clerk of Works (S1).
