Full Description

Crown post. Brace from crown post to collar purlin. Ceiling beam with roll moulding - 1975-33. From a pair of timber-framed houses ?16th century with a 17th century extension at the back of one. From nos. 9-13 Crown Street, Ipswich, demolished April 1975. See extensions from copy of report on nos 9-13 Crown Street by Sylvia Colman, County Buildings Adviser, Suffolk County Council and photograph. Also recorded at Ipswich Archaeological Survey. Given by Messrs. Clarke Demolition & Construction Co. 103 Burrell Road, Ipswich (S1).
