Monument record BRD 268 - Former earthworks of boundaries, trackways and platforms of probable medieval to post medieval date

Please read our .

Summary

An area of former earthworks of boundaries, trackways and possible platforms of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on the aerial photographs. Some of these features are likely to be broadly contemporary with sites recorded to the north (BRD 075, BRD 265). As these features lie largely outside of the project area they have not been included within the mapping and the site has now been developed. It is probable that some or all of these features may be depicted on historic maps, such as the tithe, that have not been accessed as part of the mapping.

An area of former earthworks of boundaries, trackways and possible platforms of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on the aerial photographs (S1-S4). It must be noted that some of the earthworks visible may also relate to more recent early twentieth century activity.
