Summary

A Second World War camp, comprising tents and huts, is visible as a group of structures on aerial photographs taken in June 1945. It may have provided accommodation for military troops, or for forestry workers. Later aerial photographs show that all the tents and huts were removed by April 1947.

November 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A Second World War camp, comprising tents and huts, is visible as a group of structures on aerial photographs taken in June 1945 (S1). It may have provided accommodation for military troops, or for forestry workers. Later aerial photographs show that all the tents and huts were removed by April 1947 (S2).
