Full Description
December 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A possible mound, perhaps the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey (S1). The mound is low and poorly defined, and is almost a circular platform rather than a prominent mound. It could instead be the remains of a flattened circular enclosure, similar to others recorded in the area, most of which are likely to be of post medieval date and associated with warrening. Alternatively, it could be a feature of modern origin, perhaps created by forestry activity.
