Full Description

September 1999: Area of prehistoric activity within larger trenched evaluation, BRG 024. Series of trenches excavated as part of evaluation of larger area to the north of Eldo House Farm and within south-west corner of evaluation area. Concentration of small ditches and pits produced pottery dating from the early BA and IA periods. In total trenches revealed one post hole, one ditch (NW-SE orientation), and four pits (one large one producing the bulk of prehistoric pottery, flint and animal bones for the area) (S1).

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 1999 (S2).
