Full Description
January 2018. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A post medieval plantation boundary is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1) and imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015 (S2). It defined the western side of ‘Bismarck Plantation’, which is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S3). It also appears to have marked the western limit of a probable area of post medieval flint mines, and was previously mentioned in the record for that site (SHER STN 030).
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 25th January 2018.
