Summary

A post medieval plantation boundary is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015. It defined the western side of ‘Bismarck Plantation’, which is depicted on a late 19th century Ordnance Survey map. It also appears to have marked the western limit of a probable area of post medieval flint mines (SHER STN 030).

A post medieval plantation boundary is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1) and imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015 (S2). It defined the western side of ‘Bismarck Plantation’, which is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S3). It also appears to have marked the western limit of a probable area of post medieval flint mines, and was previously mentioned in the record for that site (SHER STN 030).
