Full Description

January 2018. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Boundary banks and ditches, of known and probable post medieval date, are visible as earthworks on imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015 (S1-S2). Some are depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S3); others are not shown but are likely to also be of post medieval date. Some may define the extent of areas of post medieval flint mining recorded in the area (SHER STN 030, STN 182). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is probable that the earthworks still survive.
