Full Description
The main building is a mid 17th century timber-framed and plastered house, altered in the 18th century onwards and later renovated in the 20th century (S1)(S2). Such alterations include: a public bar was added as an extension to the building after 1844; the ground floor houses an early 19th century renovated shop front (S1)(S2). The hotel was built upon from an earlier mid-late 16th century building - which was enlarged and rebuilt (S1).
Hand-drawn plans of the building show the interior structure and exterior shape of the building as well as highlighting notable features through annotation (S1).
