Full Description
1998: Rapid earthwork survey identified two pits: Pit 1 was 50x30m, 3m deep. Pit 2 was a shallow depression, 5m diameter, 0.5m deep. These pits are probable marl or gravel pit, although Pit 2 was very small. Pit 1 was marked on 1928 OS map and the area was forested by this date (S1).
