Full Description
2011: Monitoring of groundworks identified the former banks of the Rivers Linnet and Lark. The former was infilled sometime during the 18th or 19th centuries, and most of the site overlay the filled in riverbed. The latter appeared to deviate from its current course on the east bank, despite extant features from the same period respecting it. Remains of Abbots bridge was seen (see BSE 158) as well as a Victorian wall (S1).
