Full Description
Findspot of an incomplete human skull and an animal long bone. Material was identified during construction work for the conversion of 3-5 Northgate Street. The skull was recovered below a concrete floor at a depth of 0.8m. It is likely that the remains relate to the former extent of the parish churchyard, which may have been reduced at the time of rebuilding of the church (1850-70) or at the point when burials were no longer permitted (1855) (S1).
