Full Description

Strip Map and Record excavation of a stripped area measuring 6337m squared contained two small charcoal rich pits. These contained scorched surrounding natural revealing evidence of in-situ burning. No finds were encountered, however the pits were likely of prehistoric date. A modern 106m trackway was also identified on a northeast-southwest orientation and led to the edge of possibly 1960s quarrying (S1).
