Full Description

Goose Acre is a 16th century Grade II listed building with later alterations and additions. Timber-framed. Plain tile roof. Red brick
stack. Two storeys, 1½-bay. lobby-entry hall range with slightly projecting cross wings. Gabled addition set back at left, parallel with road. Close studding. 6-panel door with glazed upper panels in pilastered doorcase with hood. 20th century cross casements throughout. Right cross wing slightly wider than left. Bargeboards to gables of cross wings. Ridge stack. Plasterers date of 1596 recorded by former list (plaster now removed) (S1).

The present outbuilding on the site is probably of late 19th century origin with a utilitarian timber framed structure, clad in black stained weatherboarding with modern ribbed flat pantile roofing (S2).
