Full Description

LBA founders hoard, ploughed up in 1961 comprising `socketed axes, fragments of palstaves and swords (including `carp's tongue'), a chape, harness ornament and finger-rings' (S1)(S2)(R1). Found near to possible double ditched circular enclosure, LVT 012.
Finds include type IV barbed spearhead; other spearheads; Ewart Park sword/s; South-eastern, wing decorated, pellet decorated, wing-pellet, faceted, bag- faceted & ribbed socketed axes; winged axe/s; socketed knife/knives; tanged chisel/s; socketed chisel/s; gouge/s; a socketed axe mould fragment; bugle shaped object/s and other items (S3). Includes socketed axe & sword fragments with irregular punched tracer/awl marks (S4).
