Full Description

Ring ditch (single), circa 20m diameter, W of LVT 023 (S1).
A possible Bronze Age barrow is visible as a ring ditch cropmark on aerial photographs, to the north of Felixstowe Road in Levington parish, centred on circa TM23544082. The possible barrow extends a complex (LVT 010) visible immediately to the east (LVT 023 - LVT 026), which in turn is part of a wider monumental landscape exemplified by numerous barrows in the area. The barrow is 16 to 18 metres in diameter and appears to have a relatively narrow ditch. A darker mark in the centre of the ring ditch may indicate a buried feature or may be caused by agricultural activity. (S2)
