Full Description

Barrow? Visible on ground as slight rise. Part of LVT 010 complex. Only visible on Aps as a dark patch (S2).
September - December 1978: Excavation showed it to be a natural mound (S3).
This feature is visible on aerial photographs of 1951 (S4) as a cropmark over the mound, whilst in 1962 (S5) soil marks again show over the mound but also appear to show a faint ditch, similar to that recorded for LVT 025. As a ditch is not apparent at this location on other photographs, it is probable that this is an effect produced by natural drainage and differential moisture.
