Full Description
Black pottery, believed to be Roman, found in a ditch near The Swan circa 1935. Now lost (S1).
Mislocation of SUS Misc.
The Swan is at TM 134 766; OS card gives TM 138 773 as approximate location. Correct grid reference is TM 1363 7707. Basil Brown records the findspot on his 6 inch OS map quite definitely at this location in Stuston, not Brome. He advised OS in 1949 of find and gave further details in 1955 (S2). See also BRM 004?
Formerly recorded as BRM MISC
