Full Description
Rom pottery sherds found with animal bone, calcined flints and ancient ditches in pipeline trench during October 1955. Slightly NE of this site at TM 1093 7713 Basil Brown has marked on his 6 inch OS map - "may be AS site?" but there is no record in archive to verify this.
At TM 1122 7710 Basil Brown found evidence of light occupation on N side of valley and calcined flints but none on S side of valley although gravel terraces are present (S1) (S2).
