Full Description

The excavation identified one ditch of post-medieval date and an undated or natural deposit. The artefact assemblage consisted of one sherd of 16th-18th century pottery, with eight fragments of largely post-medieval ceramic building material (CBM) and seven fragments of animal bone, all recovered from the ditch. No environmental samples were taken from the site, which seemed to be reasonably well preserved, despite the dense root disturbance across the area (S1).
