Full Description

Dense scatter of fragments of peg tile, brick and kiln waste, date uncertain but possibly Tudor or later. Field name 'Kiln Lay' (pasture) on 1840 Tithe Map (S1). Seems to indicate brick and tile kilns, possibly associated with the building of Wetherden Hall (HTC 001), overlying an earlier settlement site.
