Full Description

Moat. Large, complex series of moated yards. Isolated, occupied. (S1).

The water features which partly surround the Hall do not form
a moat. They appear to be ornamental ponds and drainage
ditches filled by surface water. The two rectangular ponds at
TM 13806722 and other ponds nearby, may have been used as
fishponds in the 18th century, but no tradition of this survives. (S2)
