Full Description
Numerous sherds in vicinity of Rectory and Glebe lands (HLM 004 & 005) and a hypocaust flue tile and "not many yards off" a gold coin of Vespasian was picked up by a labourer in 1844 (S1)(S2)(S3)(R1).
"Villa" - hypocaust (traces of)(S3). Probably refers to above. Note: Ms of Rev Cardew's excavations in Ipswich Museum & Tollemache library.
