Recorded as part of the Farmsteads in the Suffolk Countryside Project. This is a purely desk-based study and no site visits were undertaken. These records are not intended to be a definitive assessment of these buildings. Dating reflects their presence at a point in time on historic maps and there is potential for earlier origins to buildings and farmsteads. This project highlights a potential need for a more in depth field study of farmstead to gather more specific age data.

One of the converted barns is known as Meadown Barn. There is an unlisted curtilage outbuilding to the northeast of Meadow Barn. It is a short two-storey building with a traditional red clay pantile roof. The ground storey is in Imperial red brick in Flemish bond in lime mortar and rises 7ft above ground to the first floor. The building is difficult to date with precision being rudimentary in construction and following a long tradition of rural artisanal building work but given the ground floor brickwork as one indicator it is thought to date from the early 19th century. It is typical of the very many surviving rural Suffolk outbuildings of that era (S5).
