Full Description

2021: An archaeological evaluation revealed evidence of later prehistoric activity in the form of three ditches. Two of the ditches were similarly proportioned and parallel separated by a gap of c.5.00m. Their similar form and fills suggest they are elements of a single field system. The third ditch, pependicular and intersecting the northwesternmost ditch is likely to also be contemporary. The ditches were all very shallow. The small finds assemblage was not closely datable but the flints and pottery were consistent with a prehistoric date for these features. (S1)
