TL 71976079. 'U' soil mark visible on air photograph. (1)

An irregular sub-circular soil mark lying on a gentle east facing slope under crops within an area called Towns End Field (a). No features are visible on the surface and no finds are known from the area. According to the farm manager, Mr J Gosling, an old gravel pit long since ploughed out existed in the area. (2)
