Full Description
Evaluation identified a large field boundary ditch, that was likely open and backfilled in the medieval period and running at right angles to Bildeston Road. The ditch likely formed a field boundary in the Medieval period. A second much smaller ditch was identified running parallel with Bildeston Road, that was backfilled in the post-medieval period. The ditch is in a similar location to a boundary identified on the 1st edition OS map of 1885 and likely formed a boundary ditch of post-medieval date (S1).
