Full Description

The evaluation identified three main phases of activity. These included Middle Bronze Age field systems along with two ring ditches which were identified on the geophysical survey. A later occupation dating to the Middle Iron Age period was identified towards the road at the west consisting of ditches, Evidence for Roman occupation was identified with a articulated pig being recovered within a ditch. The final phase consisted of post-Medieval quarrying activity encountered around the south, east and west of the site (S1).
