`The Lowestoft and Pakefield boats between them saved the crew of this vessel and although they tried to save the ship as well, she sank on her way into the harbour.' (2)

`Lowestoft, 10th Nov: A barque is at anchor in the South Roads, having struck on the inner shoal. The Pakefield lifeboat is alongside, crew employed pumping. At noon the lifeboat hoisted a flag for more assistance, which has been rendered by the Lowestoft lifeboat and the other Pakefield lifeboat.' (3)

`Lowestoft, 10th Nov: The vessel which was reported yesterday as having struck on the inner shoal, was the UNDAUNTED (barque) of Aberdeen, Symners, from Archangel to London, with oats. She was taken in tow by the RAINBOW (s), but grounded near the North Pier. She is striking heavily at times, the swell being very considerable; crew saved.

11th Nov: The UNDAUNTED, of Aberdeen, lies full of water on the North beach; stores are being landed from her.' (4)

`Yarmouth, 15th Nov: The UNDAUNTED...which came on the North beach 10th Nov., is broken up.' (5)
