Full Description
2022: Evaluation trenching for a two dwelling development in historically what was part of Ballingdon cum Brundon parish where a Roman mosaic was reputedly revealed in the 1960s revealed extensive Post medieval ground disturbance, one large sherd of 18th-19th pottery but no sign of any Roman period features or finds. Therefore from these results it is concluded that the floor seen and either covered up or removed is linked with the mid to later 19th century Grove complex and outbuildings (S1).
