Summary

The brewery was founded in 1842 by Henry Morse and known as Bell Lane Brewery. In 1855 the brewery was operated by Frederick Morse but by 1865 this had changed to Morse and Woods. In 1912 the business functioned as E and G Morse. The brewery was acquired by Morgans of Norwich in 1936 and closed. The building reopened in 1946 as a brush making facility for Winsor and Newton.
