The cropmark of a possible Iron Age or Roman settlement can be seen on EH Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken in 2010. This complex of interconnected and mainly rectilinear enclosures is situated to the north-east of Dowels Farm within an area formerly within the southern part of Branches Park at TL 7087 5495)
