Full Description

A square enclosure and linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken July 22nd 2003. The square enclosure is centred at TM 09553524, and is orientated broadly nw-se (or ne-sw, of course), measuring circa 90 metres across. A single entrance is visible just west of centre in the northwest side. The corners of the enclosure are angled rather than curved, and all four sides are very straight. To the northwest is a section of double-ditched track, orientated ne-sw and traceable for around 300 metres. It is broadly parallel withthe enclosure's nw side, though there are no more direct indications of a connection between the two. There are a number of linear features within the general area, some probably former field boundaries which appear to relate to some of the still extant boundaries. (1)
