Full Description

The cropmarks of a probable medieval or post medieval farmstead can be seen on EH Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken in 2011. This irregular rectilinear enclosure is set back (to the north) from Waddlegoose Lane at TM 1977 6448 but was linked to it by a track defined by parallel ditches. Interior features include the cropmark of a possible pond. The cropmarks of a number of field boundary ditches can also be seen in the same field and although there is some connection with this farmstead one boundary cuts across the site. This field system extends to the north and appears to incorporate a group of medieval or post medieval enclosures (NRHE 1586927). (1)
