Full Description
The market cross and stocks stood in the mouth of Cage Lane opposite the church. It had been converted into a cage or lock-up for prisoners in 1795-6. In 1851 it was sold and removed ... the much altered cage and stocks now stand in the grounds of Chiswick Products Ltd, Burlington Lane, Chiswick, London.
