ENGLISH BRIG, 1852
Status: Casualty

Parted from her anchors in an ESE wind, strength unknown, and hazy, went on the Main Beach and became a total wreck. Crew saved. Estimated loss on the vessel was 800 [sterling]. (2)

`Aldboro', 12th Nov: The MEXICO, Young, of and from Shields for London, drove from her anchors and came on the Main this morning, where she has broken up; crew saved.' (1)
