V, heavy bomber, many also used as glider tugs, as transporters and for meteorological duties; 1 of a batch of 460 delivered between July 1943 and July 1944] Ran out of fuel and abandoned in bad weather on return from Special Operations Executive mission off Felixtowe, Suffolk, 17.12.1943.
