Full Description

1986. Bronze pegged spearhead, 12.7cm long, with faint 'feathered' decoration on the edge of the blade; blade fragment from a bronze axe, solid, 4cm wide; two bronze fragments, one a misshapen piece of waste, the other ? some sort of off-cut (? not prehistoric). The spearhead was found 18 inches deep (after the removal of 12 inches of top soil) and end on in grey sandy clay containing fragments of tree and tile (S1). The find spot is near the line of a flattened field boundary and the above items were possibly displaced when it was flattened, certainly the ground in which they were found appears disturbed. The objects possibly represent a small dispersed bronze hoard. Objects conserved in Norwich, (S1-S4).
