ENGLISH SCHOONER, 1854
Status: Casualty

`Vessel stranded and lost in wind conditions W x N force 8. Went ashore on Newcome Sand after missing stays at 11am, where she filled, fell over and sunk. Crew saved by a Pakefield yawl.' (1)

`Lowestoffe, 15th December - The ISIS, Harvey, of and for Blakeney from London, grounded in the Newcome Sand this morning and has become a total wreck; crew saved.' (2)
