AMERICAN CRAFT, 1775
Status: Casualty
`Lowestoft, Nov.17: Early on Wednesday morning, an American vessel struck upon the Holm Sand; about 8 o'clock she parted, and the crew, consisting of 9 men, 2 boys and a pilot from this town, were driven out to sea about 7 leagues upon part of the wreck: the 2 boys and the pilot were lost; the rest were taken up by a fishing vessel, after being 31 hours on the wreck, and this morning brought into this port.'
