Full Description

A twelve-trench evaluation identified a single pit containing pottery, flint and charred plant remains. Non-funerary Beaker pottery from at least three vessels, dated to the later Neolithic to early Bronze Age, were recovered from the pit. Worked flint and wood charcoal of oak and of the apple sub-family was also retrieved. Metal detecting on the site yielded a Roman brooch dated 75 to 150, two potential medieval studs, and post-medieval and modern finds (S1) (S2).
