Full Description

A series of rectiliniar enclosures, visible as cropmarks on several APs. Recent geophysics, evaluation and excavation, undertaken in association with a linear water pipeline scheme crossing the area has confirmed that this relates to very significant Roman occupation. Very large quantities of pottery and ome of the finds of building materials (significant quantities of non local stone) indicate potential for a substantial Roman building in the vicinity.

Cropmarks show at least one potential building in the NE part of the area defined by the HER polygon, which shows a range with posible rooms (approx 3.3m square).
