Full Description
2019: A heritage statement was submitted to support a planning applictaion for a new dwelling house adjacent to Garden Cottage. The cottage is located within the Exning Conservation Area to the southern fringe. The immediate area around the site inlcuding Church Lane, Church Street, Ducks Lane, St Martins Close, and Frogmore has been extensively developed with horse racing training establishments since the early 20th century. The Grade II listed Harraton Court Stables are located adjacent to the south of the proposed development site (EXG 146). It is proposed to construct a new detahced dwelling directly south of Harraton House. There have been no recorded structures on the proposed site since the earliest mapping of 1885. Research indicates that it has always been a garden. (S1)
